Studies in sacred eroticism

The deviations appearing along eroticism aptly characterise the malady called ‘modernity’: the conditions of our age hinder the normal course of this field to an extent never seen before, in spite of the fact that on the surface, the present age exposes this subject with an intensity never seen before. The studies here published aim at providing guidance in understanding the situation, and in the possibilities of redeeming and sanctifying eroticism.

Wolfram

Those who have comprehended Eros, become one with him. All that is famous in song—loves, sufferings, abrupt and sharp changes of fortune, elementary shocks deemed good or bad, sudden events unexpected by men and yet occurring day by day—transform into something else for them: they recognise all this as mastered by Eros, who is said to be treacherous and merciless by others. Since they know and have become one with Eros, they are able to experience all decisive occurrences as deeds of this invisible self of theirs: opportunities created by Eros to reach the “realm beyond forms” to realise the Platonian better, more, higher than human—which is the very endeavour of Eros through his magic.
